What We Do
Biotricity Medical Inc. is a medical device research and manufacturing company specializing in developing long-term power requirements for implanted devices based on bioelectric generation. The founders, Simon Rock Levinson, Ph.D., Chief Scientist, is a noted researcher in the field of biogeneration and is a professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Stephen Rathmill, Ph.D., President, is a business performance specialist and an expert in leadership and organizational systems.

Our first device, EpiVolt, creates electricity indefinitely. It is a tiny implantable biogenerator that is able to power implanted biomedical devices including pacemakers, insulin pumps, cochlear implants, artificial retinas and vagal nerve stimulators. It is constructed of living cultured electricity-generating cells that employs the body’s own natural chemicals and processes to create electric power. It generates electricity indefinitely instead of just storing a limited supply and will provide patients with a reliable and consistent treatment without the dangers inherent with replacement operations.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people by assisting the human body to function properly when it fails to do so on its own. We will accomplish this by creating biogenerators that provide unlimited energy for implanted medical devices and thereby helping our bodies in a more natural way than is currently available.
